Outdated to modern...
Our client was interested in purchasing the farmhouse as a project, they planned to transform the outdated building built (circa 1914) into a modern family home to enable them to resell.
Having previously worked alongside L G Blower Specialist Bricklayer Ltd and unsure about how to make the most of its potential, our client contacted us to arrange an initial meeting before purchasing.
L G Blower was commissioned to manage the build, renovate and extend from concept through to completion which included dealing with all building regulations.
We were delighted to assist with this fascinating project and we liaised with Andy Balshaw from Quest Architects, who we have worked alongside on numerous project. It is crucial to the success of a project to have a great relationship between the architect and the builder as this is beneficial to all parties involved.
The brief was to retain as many of the original features of the Farmhouse as possible whilst incorporating new contemporary design features.
Between the client, architect and L G Blower the drawings were composed.
The crucial focus was to retain the farmhouse look from the front elevation but then to also increase the size of the dwelling and transform it into a beautifully presented and extended four bedroom property with 3 bathrooms - which overall would appeal to many purchasers.
